We get lots of questions in regards to navigating and depth sounding, so here are some tips and answers.

If you are navigating to a waypoint, you may leave the map or navigation view to display the depth sounder full-screen. The NSS will continue to navigate unless you manually select to stop navigating, or you reach your destination.

When you return to the map view your waypoint navigation will still be in progress.

You may also save a waypoint on the depth sounder screen. An example of when you might want to do this is when on the Structure Scan you see a wreck or something of interest. Simply touch and hold on the depth screen where you wish to mark the waypoint (you also may scroll back in time to a point).

When the waypoint is saved, it also saves the waypoint location on the chart, so you can navigate to the waypoint, or even use the autopilot!
