The Simrad NSS series of MFD's have a standard micro-C NMEA2000 socket on the rear. This means that they will effortlessly connect to your NMEA2000 networks and other equipment, and is fully compatible with Simnet.

Each model NSS has one NMEA2000 micro-C socket. You will not need a GPS receiver, since the NSS has this built in. Your GPS information will be sent out over the NMEA2000 bus.

The NSS7 and NSS8 have one ethernet socket each. This means you can run a single performance module as is, for example 3G broadband radar. To integrate more than one performance module, add a Network Expansion Port. The NSS12 has 3 ethernet ports.

What engines can I connect the NSS to for fuel flow and revs?

You may connect any engine which transmits NMEA2000 data. These days, most new engines will, check with your manufacturer. Some engines will have NMEA2000 available at the throttle control, or sometimes available at the actual engine itself via an interface cable.

Once the engine's NMEA2000 feed is connected to the NSS, you can display all data the engine outputs. You may want to think about NMEA2000 fuel tank level probes as well?

Evinrude and Yamaha interface cables are available from your Simrad dealer, as are single and twin engine fuel kits, plus a couple of other probes.

Suzuki, Mercury, Mercruiser and Mariner cables and sensors are available from the respective manufacturer.
