Hi All,

I am currently looking at purchasing either a Lowrance HDS10 with a LSS1 structure scan or a Hummingbird 1198c with sidescan.

I am not familer with or even seen these scans in action, can anyone please give me some imformation on what these 2 option are, is one of these units better and provide a better imaging.

Hi Mike,

We sell, install and support the Lowrance HDS with structurescan and downscan. The images you get are incredible. You are able to make out fish and objects clearly (see some images below). I would recommend doing a Google search for "Youtube Lowrance". This brings up a number of great structure scan and downscan videos. I cannot comment on the Humminbird as we do not sell or support these.

Where are you located? If you are on the Gold Coast, you may even be able to get a demo from Lowrance themselves. Otherwise visit them at an upcoming boat show to see some great videos and have a play.

We can currently do the HDS10 for $2,799 (including GST). You will then need to add a suitable transducer and map.
