Hello

I am heading to Bali and was wondering if you have a supplier that I can speak to with the intention to purchase a Simrad NNS 8. Are he units that you buy overseas the same as in Australia? Do they come with a transducer or is this a separate purchase?

All genuine Simrad units bought all over Asia-Pacific will come pre-loaded with Navionics coastal charts for all of Asia-Pacific.

You will require a suitable transducer for your boat, and this is sold separately to the NSS itself. A suitable transom-mount trandsducer would be the HST - DFSBL. This has both depth and temp.

Please contact us at info@invisiblecommunications or call Ben on his mobile for more information on 0424 847 853.

We would recommend buying your Simrad gear from a local (same country) authorized Simrad dealer. In this way you ensure that warranty, support and repairs are available, as well as ensuring you have a proper unit complying with local standards. In Australia, this is a major problem, as people buy in gear from overseas and then find that nobody will support it, costing them many times more in the long run.

You may also call Navico Australia on 02 9936 1000, and they will put you on to the right person who can tell you who a local distributor is.
