Invisible Communications

With the RTM2.0 software upgrade delivering yet more functionality and versatility, the Simrad NSE units represent the ultimate in integrated marine electronics for the leisure and light commercial user.

As well as general enhancements, the software upgrade includes full autopilot control, StructureScan™ underwater imaging and digital switching.

All units purchased through Invisible Communications are shipped with the new software. If you already have the NSE with the old software, you may download and upgrade yourself, or we will do it for you in our workshop. We can also do the upgrade on your vessel from $144 in Sydney (from $168 for Botany Bay/Georges River and Pittwater). We will also upgrade your BR24 Broadband Radar.

Features & enhancements:

1. Full integration with Simrad Autopilots.
   • Simrad NSE is the first Multi-Function-Display (MFD) with full autopilot control.
   • NSE can replace or work together with Simrad AP24 or Simrad AP28 control heads on a SimNet network.
   • Full setup of the Simrad AC12 or Simrad AC42 including setup and calibration functionality of the autopilot computer is possible.
   • The Active Mode will be displayed on all NSE Pages.
   • A compass rose overlay will be displayed around the vessel icon on the chart screen.
   • The Steer Panel will integrate autopilot Information.
   • Course alterations are possible using the rotary knob.

Please note NSE Autopilot integration is not yet compatible with the Volvo IPS drive system

3. Support for Structure Scan LSS-1
   • Revolutionary Broadband Sounder combined with new StructureScan creates the ultimate in reality fish finding
   • StructureScan provides wide coverage in high detail with SideScan while the exclusive to DownScan™ provides picture perfect images of structure and fi sh directly below your boat for a true 180° view
   • StructureScan module and transducer is required. LSS-1 has three built in highspeed Ethernet ports
4. Charting Improvements
